Rave Temple is a queer-led collective creating parties, festivals, workshops, and immersive experiences that blend music, art, intimacy, and transformation. Our team is passionate about building community, evolving culture, promoting sexual liberation, and creating spaces where queer people can connect, play, heal, and be fully unapologetic in their expression.
Best known for pioneering the first all-gender queer sauna parties in Sydney and Melbourne, Rave Temple has produced more than 50 events across Australia and Europe. Our work has included sold-out events in Berlin and across Australia's east coast, as well as appearances at festivals including Subsonic, Hedoné (Berlin), and Naked Camp. We've also curated spaces and stages for some of Australia's leading queer nightlife events.
At its heart, Rave Temple exists to bridge the gap between party culture and personal transformation. Through dancefloors, workshops, performances, and moments of community intimacy, we aim to create a space where queer joy, pleasure, and liberation are celebrated as powerful forces for community and cultural change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be queer to attend?
Yes. Most Rave Temple events are created specifically for the LGBTQIASB+ community.
If an event is straight-inclusive, this will be clearly stated in the event information.
While we deeply value our queer allies, most events are intentionally reserved for queer people to create spaces where our communities can gather, connect, and celebrate together.
Can I bring my straight partner?
No. Unless our event specifically states it's all-inclusive.
Do I have to have sex?
Absolutely not. Rave Temple is a “sex-positive party,” not a “sex-party.”
While some Rave Temple events may contain sex-positive or cruising environments, participation is always optional.
Many people come purely for the music, performances, social connection, workshops, or community experience.
No one should ever feel pressured to engage in anything they don't want to.
What is the dress code?
Dress codes vary depending on the event.
Some spaces, such as sauna events, traditionally encourage nudity, towels, swimwear, underwear, lingerie, robes, harnesses, or minimal attire.
Other events may encourage club-kid outfits, fetish wear, leather, latex, lace, kink attire, or creative self-expression.
Regular street clothes are generally discouraged or not permitted in intimate event spaces.
When in doubt, dress down or dress up.
Is there a dancefloor?
Yes.
Many Rave Temple events feature one or more dancefloors, DJs, performances, and immersive environments.
Some events separate dance and cruising spaces, while others integrate them into a larger venue experience.
Specific venue layouts will be communicated before each event.
Is there a cruising space?
Some events include designated cruising areas, while others do not.
Where cruising spaces are available, they will be clearly identified and, where appropriate, separated from other areas.
Participation is always optional.
Is there a place to relax or downregulate?
Yes.
We aim to provide quieter spaces where people can rest, ground themselves, connect socially, or take a break from the event's stimulation.
Depending on the venue, this may include chill-out zones, courtyards, outdoor areas, or dedicated low-sensory spaces.
Is there a bar?
This depends on the venue.
Some events have fully licensed bars.
Others operate as BYO events.

Can I arrive late or leave early?
Yes.
You're welcome to arrive and depart whenever you'd like during the event's operating hours, unless otherwise specified.
Can I take photos?
Rave Temple events are generally no-phone environments.
We prioritise privacy, presence, and creating spaces where people can express themselves freely.
Where possible, professional photographers may be available in designated photography areas or during specific photography windows.
Please do not photograph other attendees without their explicit consent.
At our events, phones may be restricted to certain areas, covered with camera stickers, or stored in lockers.
Are lockers, cloakrooms, or storage available?
Most events provide lockers, cloakrooms, or secure storage options. Some cloaking does cost, depending on the venue.

Are showers available?
This depends on the venue.
Sauna-based events generally include access to showers and towels.
Other venues may not provide shower facilities.

What are Party Angels?
Party Angels are members of our care team.
They're there to help you settle into the space, answer questions, provide support, assist with boundaries or consent concerns, and help create a welcoming atmosphere.
If you're feeling unsure, overwhelmed, lost, uncomfortable, or simply want an introduction to the event, please speak to one of our Party Angels.
What is Rave Temple's approach to consent?
Consent is at the heart of everything we do.
We encourage a culture of communication, curiosity, respect, and personal responsibility.

What if I'm new to this?
Many attendees are attending their first queer party, cruising event, sauna experience, or kink space.
You are not expected to know everything.
Arrive early, ask questions, meet the Party Angels, and move at your own pace.
There is no right way to participate.
The only expectation is that you respect yourself, others, and the culture of consent that helps make these spaces possible.
How can I meet people?
Connection opportunities vary by event.
You may find workshops, facilitated introductions, speed-friending, ethical kink connection sessions, discussion spaces, dancefloors, or social areas designed to help people connect.
